Getting involved

Become a volunteer

TopFruit is seeking volunteers who will contribute skills, time & maybe money (or all three!) to meet the cost of renting the two plots and also the cost of maintaining, improving and maybe re-planting the remaining space with more fruit bushes.

Active volunteers – who donate both time, skills and money to the project will receive a small amount of produce as a ‘thank-you’. The need is for about 8-10 people who will actively help make the scheme work by helping with mowing in the summer; harvesting in summer/autumn & pruning and tidying in the winter. People with gardening skills – especially fruit growing are especially welcome but Enthusiasm is more important than experience as we will share skills as we work.

Become a Supporter

If you aren’t able to commit time and skills you can still become a supporter who would like to contribute financially to making the scheme work and help us convert your gift into a really worthwhile contribution to ‘Grow to Give’.

A suggested donation is £10 per annum. All contributions will go to funding the allotment rental; maintenance of the plot and existing trees and re-planting with new fruit trees and bushes.
All active supporters will receive regular updates on progress and what we have been able to achieve with your contributions.
